On Weds 18th March we're delighted to be hosting a tasting of the wines of Bodegas Urbina.
The Urbina family first began producing wines 150 years ago in Cuzcurrita del Río Tíron, in the Westernmost part of the DOC. Since then they have also acquired parcels in La Rioja Alta and the single vineyard of Valle del Ángel.
Now in their 4th generation Urbina truly are giants of the appellation; consistently producing wines of elegance, complexity and longevity that rival any of their prestigious neighbours and always at remarkable value for money.
Hosted by Matt Harris, POTG owner, we'll be tasting Urbina's full range from spicy, progressed whites right through to the 20+ year old Gran Reservas that really define the ethos and methodology of the Bodega.
After a welcome glass of Cava, the line up will include six wines from Urbina accompanied, as ever, by some small plates.
